A ceremony to commission a water line and sewage network has been held in Siyazan city.
The ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The chairman of the “Reclamation and Water Economy” Open Joint Stock Company, Ahmad Ahmadzadeh, informed the President about the Second National project on water and sewage services.
It was noted that the project was funded by the Government of Azerbaijan and the World Bank.

President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the plan of the water supply network of Siyazan, the layout of water supply and sewage facilities, and plans of the sewage network and the water treatment plant. It was noted in order to supply the population of the Siyazan district center with drinking water, the second Baku water pipeline was selected as a water source. The project also reflects the technical parameters of the new installations.
The President was informed that on the basis of the construction contract signed between the French company SADE and Azerbaijani RAMKO, the construction and rehabilitation of the Siyazan water supply and sewage systems has been carried out. All houses in the city are connected to the water and sewage system. To extract water from the second Baku water pipeline and distribute it in the city, the construction of a water treatment reservoir with a capacity of 100 cubic meters and reservoirs of 1,000 and 3,000 cubic meters has been completed. The construction of a water treatment plant is ongoing.
The implementation of the project will provide the population of Siyazan city with drinking water around the clock.
President Ilham Aliyev launched the facility symbolizing the flow of water into the city.
The President of Azerbaijan gave instructions on successful completion of the work.
